Feb 2008: Recently published prints (2006 and 2007); new prints from Nepal, Japan & Russia

Nov 2007: Photos from an Oct/Nov 2007 trek through Nepal's remote villages and terraced rice-fields, along deafeningly swift glacier-fed rivers to the dazzling Himalayan peaks of the Ganesh Himal region.  ///  The Association of Finnish Printmakers, Graphic Artists Association of Lahti select Fermentation and Awash for the Lahti Triennial, among works from 32 countries exhibited in 2007 - 2008 in Lahti, Finland. Antti Salokannel of Finland said 'We were in search of images that took us to a place more expansive than the physical dimensions of the print, to a fresh and new experience.'

Open space in small formats, a selection of prints ideal for desktop, shelf, or any surface, with or without frames. Intimate, they invite closeup viewing and appreciation of the fine detail of photogravure etching.

July 2007: Zaimokuza is featured on the cover of the July 2007 Kamakura Cable Communications (JCN Kamakura) monthly magazine. The print shows a bridge constructed anew every summer for beachgoers. Though of relatively recent vintage (1998), for many the print evokes the Meiji Era of late 19th-century Japan. Other book and magazine covers are here.

June 2007: 'Photogravure Etching in the Intaglio Tradition'

May 2007: An exhibit of contemporary photogravure at the Luminous-Lint site brings together in one place the work of artist-printmakers from Europe, America, and Japan. The prints selected for this exhibit were all conceived for and executed in photogravure. Each print is entirely the work of one artist, in whose work the photo, platemaking, etching, and printing, are inseparably blended to create images unique to this medium.

Dec 2006: Works in progress from Norway -- glaciers, waterfalls, puffins; Portugal's Douro Valley and Nazare; Andalucia; Night and Fog

Tom Veblen's The Way of Business features the left panel of The Stones of Koshigoe triptych on its cover. The book is briefly reviewed here, and may be ordered here.
