Works in progress (photos) in the links on this page are awaiting platemaking, etching, and printing as photogravure editions.

Norway's Glaciers, though endangered by global warming, are still a formidable part of the Norwegian landscape. Norway's waterfalls are (understandably) on a similarly grand scale, their sheer force and energy incomparable. On Norway's Runde Island, the puffins, colorful penguin-like birds capable of dazzling acrobatic flights, are among the most delightful species anyone could ever hope to witness.

Photos from an Oct/Nov 2007 trek through Nepal's remote villages and terraced rice-fields, along deafeningly swift glacier-fed rivers to the dazzling Himalayan peaks of the Ganesh Himal region.

Spectacular panoramas from the heights of Shiga Kogen, in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

A Series on Night and Fog will lead to future Prints of Darkness, nocturnes and mist on the edge of perception.

Portugal's Douro Valley, a World Heritage Site of terraced vineyards, where port wine is produced, and sent downriver to the city of Porto, is the source of another future series of photogravure etchings. In Nazare and along the Costa de Prata, moments of bright sun alternating with dark clouds on Portugal's Atlantic coast create dramatic seascapes. Two of these have been etched and printed: Fermentation and Discovery.

The 'Three Gems of Andalucia', Granada, Sevilla, and Cordoba, plus Ronda, one of the 'Pueblos Blancos' of Andalucia, a series of villages in the rugged mountains of the Spanish Sierra Nevada, form yet another future series. Further up the Mediterranean coast is the splendid city of Barcelona, its Catalan character wonderfully enlivened by the architecture of Antonio Gaudi.
